Cavanal
Carpet and Tile is owned by Chris and Kristi Duncan. We
were both born and raised here in the Poteau area. Both
are graduates of Poteau High School. Chris attended Carl
Albert and Oral Roberts University on a baseball
scholarship. Kristi attended Eastern Oklahoma State
College and Westark Community College ( UAFS). We
married in August 1996 and purchased the then Wise Floor
Company in September of 1996. We operated the business
under Wise Floor Co until January of 1998 when we
changed the name to Duncan Floors and More. We
successful operated the business until September 2003.
We sold the store at that time, mainly due to
complications with our twins and their health. During
this time, Chris accepted a position at Sutherland’s
Central in Fort Smith as their Floor Covering Manager
and Outside Sales Manager until we opened Cavanal Carpet
and Tile. Kristi took the break to stay at home with the
twins and be a stay at home mom.
We
opened Cavanal Carpet and Tile in February of 2006. The
business is doing very well. We both operate and manage
the store on a daily business. We use the same
subcontracted installers that we have for the past 11
years. Rick and Rickey McConnell install carpet, vinyl
and vinyl tile. Brad Turner and Fred Midgley install
carpet, vinyl and vinyl tile. James Travis installs
hardwood, laminate and ceramic tile. Jim Janssen
installs hardwood, laminate and ceramic tile. These
contractors are the best you will find bar none! They
all live locally and take great pride in their work.
They may be busy ,but they are worth the wait. We have
the capacity to do residential or commercial jobs. The
installers we use are specialists and can do almost
anything you can dream up! From building tile showers,
decorative tile work to making custom basketball courts
or putting greens in carpet. It is amazing what they
have done!! These are the type of individuals you love

We
have a large variety of products to meet any budget.

free estimates and we accept credit cards. We are happy
to meet you after hours or on the weekends if your
